BERKUT PANEL PICTURES
I wanted to show a sample of the different instrument panel configurations. There are over 70 pictures of instrument panels from Long EZ's, Veri EZ's and Berkut's. When I wanted to design my panel it was difficult because I had no other reference material. I would have done things differently on my first and second panels if I had the availability to review others. It is always a good idea to see what other builders do and then pick the best features and ideas to incorporate into your design. The five things I believe make up a good panel are: 1. Pilot friendly functionality (large knobs and switches, easy to use equipment), 2. Easy to view (large numbers or pictures (I'm getting older)), 3. Switches close to the non flying hand (Radios and primary switches on left side of panel, easy to reach), 4. Dependable Mission equipment (depending on the usage of the airplane, VFR or IFR ), 5. Reduced Complexity (the less I have to do the better). Note: most pictures were found on the internet while doing searches. Others were sent to me for publishing.
